Scott Kelly

Scott Kelly oversees the global daily operations of Hitachi Vantara. Kelly’s responsibility is to keep the company’s strategy aligned to its goals, vision, and transformation agenda and to ensure ongoing focus and loyalty to its customers. He also leads the company’s enterprise-wide initiatives to drive its global growth strategy and digital agenda. Kelly also served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Hitachi Data Systems prior to the company’s integration to Hitachi Vantara.

As the Chief Transformation Officer, Scott Kelly leads Hitachi Vantara’s digital transformation to provide new capabilities that help customers unlock the full value of their data, establish their Data Ops advantage, and partner on co-innovation to successfully deliver on their vision. Kelly also leads all aspects of the company’s world-wide operations including sales, global partners, marketing, IT, and HR.

Before joining Hitachi, Kelly worked for Nestlé, Scottish Power, Motorola and Dun & Bradstreet where he was involved in setting the transformation agenda and managing the change process. Kelly was also responsible for the global leadership strategy, as well as companywide talent agenda and organizational alignment. As a result, he is very familiar with what makes global organizations optimize performance.

Kelly has degrees in human resource management, biology, and biotechnology from the University of WoS and the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. He also attended executive education with Tuck School of Business and IMD. Kelly is a native of Scotland and has lived in Silicon Valley for almost 10 years.
